Win Whitcomb MD, MHM, is chief medical officer of Remedy Partners, an ‘episodes of care’ company, where he oversees all aspects of the clinical enterprise, and the intersection between clinical, technology, and business areas.  Prior to joining Remedy in 2013, Dr. Whitcomb led the development of commercial and government bundled payment programs at Baystate Health, an integrated delivery system with a health plan in Massachusetts, starting in 2009.  A practicing hospitalist for the past twenty-five years, Win has led the growth of the hospital medicine specialty since 1994, when he assumed leadership of the nation’s first 24/7 on-site hospitalist program. In 1996, he founded the Society of Hospital Medicine and co-led the organization until 2000. Together with two pioneering colleagues, he was the first to receive hospital medicine’s most prestigious achievement award, the master in hospital medicine, in 2010. He did an internal medicine residency at Tufts University/Baystate Medical Center, received an MD from Jefferson Medical College and a BA from Wesleyan University. He is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
