With nearly 20 years of media experience in housing, healthcare and technology, Lola has spent her career building programs, training, mentoring and capturing stories. Her successes include integrated marketing campaigns using TV, radio, billboards, print and Internet to promote healthy living, intergenerational relationships and fall prevention. Her passion for PR keeps her motivated to educate large populations through partnerships with local media, nonprofits and government agencies. Lola recently found her perfect story telling medium: short format video. One fall prevention video has been viewed over 100,000 times.
At Eskaton, a nonprofit serving seniors in Northern California, Lola’s role is to manage online reputation and oversee digital strategies including social media and content creation. A Master’s in Management with a focus in Aging Services prepared her for helping Eskaton to enrich the lives of the seniors they serve. From the study of immigrants to artists to centenarians, Lola has captured hundreds of individual stories in just four years. She looks forward to writing, producing and presenting many more projects over the coming years.
In her free time, Lola participates in pitch events and mentors entrepreneurs working to innovate and disrupt. Most recently, she led a team of high school science and math students to receive first place at a Startup Sac hackathon. She is also an Aging2.0 Alliance Member and local chapter advocate.
